Port Niepoort Vintage 2003 Tawny

2003 was a year with very hot and humid days. Production was abundant but the grapes were small, resulting in concentrated tannins and colour. Grapes that were overripe or dry were removed to ensure the wine's finesse. Grapes from the Pisca vineyard, a very old vineyard with notes of coffee and blackberries, gave the final blend the desired finesse. In September 2005, the Niepoort 2003 Vintage cycle was completed.

Fine and elegant, mineral without being balsamic. The flavor remains delicate, assertive and with tannins. Rich, without being excessive and with a long finish. Impressively elegant but robust.
