Porto Niepoort Vintage 2007 Tawny

After some severely dry winters, the winter of 2006/07 was a time when the soil water reserves were replenished to their optimum level. In 2007, the harvest began at the historic Vale de Mendiz winery on Friday 14th September. Despite a brief storm on 16th September and light rain at the end of the same month, the harvest went ahead in excellent conditions.

Niepoort 2007 benefited from a second winter to further enhance its already rich and intense colour. The aroma shows black fruits contrasting with light green notes and great elegance.

It is slightly sweet in the mouth, which matches its strong structure. The tannins are firm and long, but the combination shows balance.
